Cylinders off now...
First one fine,
Second one ... gah!
Won't even budge!
I will see what the forums think!
They have told me it is a rubber boot that fits on the oil filler tube to stop 'road air' and rubbish going up the pipe! ... will order one!
Now the head....
Time to Rock(er)
Full engine de-construction...
Handbrake cable ...
After ordering a handbrake cable, I had a look at the locking system and sorted that out so the HB will lock activated...
I also replaced my heater cable after pumping grease down the heater cable pipe...
I have also re-covered my kickboards....
this was my first idea but now they are better, after they have dried i will upload a pic :)
I have also rubber down, buffed and polished my runners so my seats should actually slide now :)
i have also removed my wing mirror to replace the seal...
Now some interior work...
Up on ramps...
Now i can get a proper look underneath.
All looks very sound - BUT OIL EVERYWHERE!
impossible to tell what is leaking oil so i will clean it all up and we will see what i am left with after...
Found my snapped heater cable...
Oil dripping from heat exchangers...
My oil breather pipe has nothing on the end ...will have to investigate what SHOULD go on there!

Time for an engine strip...
To reduce weight and risk of damage i will srip some components before I drop the engine out...
First to go - Leads - tabbed and labelled
- Air filter - oil to be drained and unit cleaned ready for re-use.
- Air tubes - need replacing,
- Coil and respective leads - to be cleaned, tabbed and labelled,
- Vaccum pipe - Carby to Dizzy..
Now some tinware...
We will call it a day at that...
